Alta-Aurelia football falls short in home defensive battle

Sophomore running back Kaden Stites breaks loose in Alta-Aurelia's Sept. 4 game against Lawton-Bronson at Valor Field.

Connor Smith threw for a touchdown and Hayden Dahlhauser returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown to help Lawton-Bronson get past Alta-Aurelia 14-7 in a non-district game last Friday night at Valor Field in Aurelia.

Lawton-Bronson scored a touchdown on the opening kickoff when Dahlhauser broke free and went 85 yards for the score to take an early 6-0 lead. Alta-Aurelia, however, answered when quarterback Cade Rohwer ran 24 yards for a touchdown early in the second quarter. The PAT made it 7-6.
