A-A board accepts $120,000+plus bequest, approves custodial realignment

The Alta-Aurelia School Board accepted a bequest from the Brune family during its meeting June 8. The meeting was held electronically, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Board business manager Vicki Kolpin gave a report on the nearly $124,000 bequest. She told the board there were two Brune brothers who had lived in Aurelia. One lived at Sunset Knoll and, when he died a few years ago, left the school $50,000.
The other brother moved to Colorado and invested in land. On his death, funds were left for the city, school and fire department.
