Cherokee County Board of Supervisors approve dispatcher; discuss staffing

The Cherokee County Supervisors met Oct. 2 and approved hiring of a sheriff’s office chief dispatcher.

Stacy McGee, a current sheriff’s employee, was approved for a salary of $21.37 per hour.

“McGee was the only  one who applied. She is a trainer for all the dispatchers. Medical 911 is coming, as well as texting 911, and the position would also enter orders of protection,” said Sheriff Jerrod Clyde.
