Cherokee supervisors keep leadership

The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors met for its reorganizational meeting Jan. 2.

The supervisors voted to keep their present leadership of Rick Mongan of District One as chairman. The supervisors elected Gary Lundquist of District Four as vice chairman for 2018.

Several county employees were in attendance.

The following committee and appointments were made for 2018, all by unanimous vote:

Cherokee Auditor Kris Glienke was named clerk to the board of supervisors.

Supervisors designated the Cherokee Chronicle Times, Aurelia Star and Marcus News as official newspapers
