Cherokee supervisors set duties; Wane Miller takes oath

The Cherokee Supervisors held its reorganization meeting Jan. 2.

Wane Miller of Aurelia took his oath of office as a newly-elected supervisor. Cherokee County Magistrate Judge Lisa Mazurek administered the oaths of office to Miller, supervisor Gary Lundquist, treasurer Roswitha “Hedgie” Brandt, attorney Ryan Kolpin and recorder Mark Murphy.

Supervisor Rick Mongan was re-elected board chairman. Lundquist was re-elected vice chairman.

Auditor Kris Glienke was appointed as permanent clerk to the board of supervisors.

Supervisors voted to continue to meet at 9 a.m. Tuesdays at the Cherokee County Courthouse with the agenda deadline of noon the previous Friday.
