Consultant named for wind turbine road work

Cherokee County Supervisors handled matters regarding the Glaciers Edge Inc. wind turbine project in Marcus at their Sept. 25 meeting.

As presented by Brandon Billings, secondary road engineer, a road use agreeement for Avenue F was approved.

“This is modeled after the road use agreement in Ida County. I’m pretty happy with it. It states that our employee who is assigned to the project will have his time reimbursed from EDF, Inc. If the contractors do any damage to the road and don’t repair it in a certain amount of time, then we can draw from a bond,” said Billings.
