Council hears residents' code appeals

Several code enforcement matters were discussed Oct. 1 by Alta city council members.

Resident Robert Wharton appeared before the council to discuss a fence issue. He had been informed that the fence was not up to city code and received a “remove or replace” order.

The problem, Mayor Al Clark said, was that livestock panel fences are not allowed under the city code.

The fence is now up to code, said Alta Code Enforcement Officer Matt Hess.
