Falcons soar past Warriors

Alta-Aurelia girls’ basketball team kicked off the 2019-20 season by hosting OABCIG teams Nov. 25.

The night included an announcement of the Falcons’ Class 2A football championship. The Falcons won the varsity contest 66-16.

The Falcons led 11-0 at the outset, 15-3 after one quarter and 40-11 at halftime for a continuous clock for the second half.

Chloe Kruger and Alaina Westphal led the way for the Warriors with six points each.

“We did a nice job working together as a team. The game never got too big for us and that usually happens when you are young. We had a lot of open looks that just would not go in. We’ll get there. One game does not define a season,” said A-AHS coach Adam Rapp.
