Kiwanis gains Aurelia walking path donations

Aurelia Kiwanis Club’s proposed improvements to the walking path received support from two entities Jan. 28.

The Aurelia Municipal Electric Board voted to support the walking path project with a $13,500 donation. The Aurelia City Council voted to support the walking path project with a $10,000 donation.

Smith Construction of Storm Lake is the low bidder for the Kiwanis project. Project cost to improve the walking path with additional concrete of 2,351 feet to about 3,500 feet is $50,000. Donations may be made to the Aurelia Community Foundation.
