Multi-tasking big skill for today’s pastors

Pastor Kim Dewey has her workload doubled this Christmas season, as she is the lead pastor of four separate congregations – United Methodist Church memberships at Alta, Peterson, Schaller and Silver Creek, known as P.A.S.S.

Dewey met with religious staff recently at the Alta church to iron out more details of the arrangement that has been in place since July 1. Karen Berg and Kristin Boysen also assist at the four churches, but, even in that group, it’s still more buildings than staff.

“We work on the schedule for the next three to five months. Every day, it becomes a little more organized,” said Dewey. “It’s been good responses from the churches. We hope to get to 25 hours a month, and we do two worships a week.”
