A-A notches road victories

The Alta-Aurelia boys’ basketball team completed a busy stretch for a 3-0 mark with a a 67-25 win over St. Mary’s of Storm Lake Jan. 8 after a close 53-48 Twin Lakes Conference (TLC) win over Southeast Valley Jan. 4 and a non-conference 64-29 win over Glidden-Ralston Jan. 5. The Warriors stood at 9-2 record.

St. Mary’s

The host Panthers dared the Warriors to take three-point shots and the Warriors took them up on the challenge by making 12 against a zone defense. Tyler Hanks was four of seven from three-pointers and Anthony Krier was four of six in the 12 of 19 team effort.

Hanks led four double-digit scorers with 16 points, while Krier had 14, Rohwer had 11, Aric Stephan had 11.
