Recorder, treasurer present reports to Cherokee County Supervisors

The Cherokee County Supervisors met Jan. 8 and heard quarterly reports and approved two wage authorization requests. Supervisors approved both reports.

Barb Stover of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office gave the report for Oct. 1 through Dec. 31. Total applied receipts were $117,609.

Recorder Mark Murphy gave the report for the quarter for his office. Total fees collected were $78,474.

Murphy said the total number of documents handled for 2018 was 2,600 compared to 2,603 in 2017. Murphy told supervisors that vital records requests saw an increase in 2018.
