Shea nominated for All-State Individual Speech

The Iowa High School Speech Association canceled Individual State Speech Contests March 14 and the All-State Festival on March 30. This means they will avoid a large crowd of students and spectators from several school districts.
Speech teams were given approval to hold sessions with judges to still get in their state performances. Alta-Aurelia Warrior Speech partnered with a couple of area schools for a “mini contest” March 14 at OABCIG High School. It was a small gathering of performers, coaches, judges and some parents.
The Warrior speech team wrapped up the speech season with 12 straight I’s (I, I, I), three mixed I’s (I, I, II) and one straight II (II, II, II). Individual speech performers include Joelle Arnts, Lydia Feis, Ellie Kaskey, Sydney Stanton, Brennan Shea, Grace Arnts, Madlin Wipperling, Sierra Hill, Abigail Marcos and Caden Shea.
