Supervisors hear Cherokee airport plan

The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors met with Cherokee Regional Airport Board of Directors members at the Nov. 7 meeting to discuss airport operations.

Airport board members asked that the county board continue the 28E agreement with the county. No formal action was taken by the supervisors, as a proposal on funding rate per capita will be received from the airport’s board.

Todd Wetherell, chairman of the Cherokee Regional Airport Board of Directors, was present with other directors and explained the airport board has filed a long-term projects’ plan with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to be eligible for federal funding reimbursement program.
