Tilk gives AMU updates

Alta Municipal Utilities (AMU) manager Randy Tilk explained there are several projects that have been worked on late in 2019 or early this year.

Long Lines has installed a Simulsat multi-beam satellite dish to replace several aging satellite dishes. The change will improve the consistency and quality of the channel’s signal, according to Long Lines. AMU sold the satellite dish to Long Lines for $1.

“AMU is phasing out our eight megabyte Internet and making 15 megabyte our new low speed to make sure our customers have plenty of speed for new devices and viewing. Higher speeds are available,” said Tilk.

Tilk gave an update on the well number seven project. “The primary three phase wires and transformer  base were dug in at the well Dec. 17.
