Warriors end fifth to open girls’ track

The Alta-Aurelia girls’ track and field team opened the season at Cherokee’s Tomahawk Relays April 6.

The Warriors finished in fifth place with 61 points in class 1A.

Jessica Flaherty won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of :16.88 seconds.

The sprint medley relay of Flaherty, Shea Lockin, Britttany Turnquist and Maria Kueny was third, 1:59.55.

Turnquist was third in the 100 meter run, :13.84.
