Warriors have tough night against CW

Cherokee Washington led by single digits in the third quarter but nearly clipped the century mark in a 97-57 win over Alta-Aurelia in a girls’ basketball non-conference game Jan. 18.

The Braves are ranked fourth in class 3A and were 14-1 after senior Paitlyn Hagberg led the way with 19 points, followed by Lindsay Williams’ 18 points, while JeMae Nichols had 14 and Brianna Sleezer had 11.

Senior Erin Lockin led the Warriors, 7-8, with 16 points,  had two three-pointers, four rebounds, four assists and one steal.
