Warriors split K-P tourney games

The Alta-Aurelia girls’ softball team split two games at the Kingsley-Pierson tournament May 25.

The Warriors were 2-1 at Kingsley-Pierson after a 6-1 win over Remsen-St. Mary’s and an 8-3 loss to Akron-Westfield.

For both games totals, Abby Kraemer pitched 13 innings, had 26 strikeouts, nine hits, three earned runs, six walks and had both decisions.

In hitting, Kraemer was five for six with one walk.

Mallorie Jacobson was three for seven with one RBI.

Sierra Hill was three for six with three RBIs.

Brittany Turnquist was four for eight with one stolen base.

St. Mary’s

The Warriors had nine hits and four walks. They scored two runs in the second inning,  three in the third and one in the fourth. Kraemer pitched a shutout for six innings, with 15 strikeouts, five walks and one hit.

On offense, Kraemer was three for three with one walk.
